Key People

Kyle Ryland is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Sumeru Equity Partners. Kyle chairs the firm’s investment committee and focuses on investments across software and enterprise technology. Prior to co-founding Sumeru, Kyle held leadership roles at Silver Lake Sumeru, Shah Capital Partners and Lehman Brothers. Prior to co-founding Sumeru, John held leadership roles at Silver Lake Sumeru, Adobe Systems (led Platform Software business unit), Hewlett Packard and Accenture. Mark Haller is a Managing Director of Sumeru Equity Partners. Mark focuses on investments across software and enterprise technology. Prior to joining Sumeru, Mark worked at Silver Lake Sumeru and Goldman Sachs. Mark has a B.S. (finance and accountancy, with honors) and a M.S. (accounting science) from the University of Illinois.

George Kadifa is a co-founder and Managing Director of Sumeru Equity Partners. George sits on the firm’s investment committee and focuses on investments across software and enterprise technology. Prior to co-founding Sumeru, George was EVP at Hewlett Packard (where he led HP’s $4-billion software business), Operating Partner at Silver Lake Partners and has held various leadership positions at companies such as IBM, Corio Corporation (founder), Oracle, Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Xerox. George has a B.S. (electrical engineering) from the American University in Beirut, a M.S. (electrical engineering) from the California Institute of Technology, and an MBA (with honors) from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Paul Mercadante is a co-founder and Managing Director of Sumeru Equity Partners. Paul sits on the firm’s investment committee and focuses on investments across software and enterprise technology. Prior to co-founding Sumeru, Paul held leadership roles at Silver Lake Sumeru, Shah Capital Partners, Force Computers (President), Solectron (Vice President of $2B business unit) and Smart Modular. Randy Randleman is a co-founder, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Sumeru Equity Partners. Prior to co-founding Sumeru, Randy held a leadership role at Silver Lake Sumeru and worked as a finance executive at Qualcomm.
