Biography

Matt is a Partner at Turn/River Capital, where he focuses on investments in B2B software companies globally. Since joining Turn/River in 2018, Matt has led some of the firm’s most significant transactions and helped develop growth strategies that have come to define Turn/River’s approach to investing. Most recently, Matt led the $4.4 billion take-private of SolarWinds, the sale of Redwood Software, and the take-private of Tufin.


He serves as a trusted advisor to executive teams and currently sits on the boards of SolarWinds and Tufin. His prior board experience includes Redwood Software (acquired by Vista Equity Partners and Warburg Pincus), ActiveState (acquired by Vertu Capital), Mailgun (acquired by Thoma Bravo), Huddle (acquired by Ideagen), and Magnus Health (acquired by Veracross).


Matt began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs before joining SkyBridge Capital, where he helped lead the firm’s global expansion. He holds a BA in political science and economics from Tufts University.
