Biography

Colin joined Summit Partners in 2011 and today serves as a Managing Director on the firm’s Technology Team. Over his 14+ year tenure, he has invested in category-defining software businesses across vertical SaaS, fintech, and property technology, e-commerce enablement, workflow digitization, and subscription-driven consumer platforms. Colin has developed a keen ability for identifying compelling sector themes and innovative growth-stage companies and building trusted relationships with founders and executives leading those businesses.


In total, Colin has led or played a significant role in 24 Summit investments, representing more than $1.0 billion in invested capital over the course of his career at Summit. Colin’s current board and investment experience includes CoderPad, DocuSketch, Foxen, Instrumentl, Jobber, Jungle Scout, NinjaOne, onX, Podium, Stay22 and TextExpander. His prior experience includes Advanced Cell Diagnostics (acquired by Bio-Techne Corporation), Delphix (acquired by Perforce Software), Gainsight (acquired by Vista Equity Partners), InfoArmor (acquired by Allstate Corporation), Jamf (IPO, later acquired by Francisco Partners), PriceLabs, Red Canary (acquired by Zscaler), Reverb.com (acquired by Etsy), RiskIQ (acquired by Microsoft), TeleSign (acquired by BICS), Uber (NYSE: UBER) and Wowza Media Systems (acquired by Clearhaven Partners).
