Dominic Ang, Founder and Managing Partner
Dominic Ang is the Founder and Managing Partner at Turn/River. Dominic began his career at Plumtree Software, and subsequently worked as an investor at Advent International and Vector Capital. He later became CEO of My Perfect Sale, where he developed the operator-led, data-driven approach to scaling software companies that would become the foundation of Turn/River’s growth engineering philosophy. Dominic founded Turn/River in 2012 and continues to lead the firm’s hands-on, operator-first approach to partnering with software companies. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, with High Honors.
Chase Sorgel, Partner and Head of Growth Operations
Chase Sorgel is a Partner and Head of Growth Operations at Turn/River. Chase brings deep operating experience from both high-growth technology companies and software entrepreneurship, having built and led growth, marketing, and revenue teams across multiple stages. Prior to joining Turn/River, Chase led PayPal’s performance marketing organization and founded his own software company. Chase has served on a number of Turn/River company boards including Redwood Software, Tufin, CoSoSys, Trakstar, ActiveState, and ActiveBatch. He holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Joanne Yuan, Partner and Co-Head of Investments
Joanne Yuan is a Partner and co-heads the Investment Team at Turn/River. Joanne started her career at Morgan Stanley and has spent nearly fifteen years investing in software companies at Hellman & Friedman, Google, and Cowboy Ventures. At Turn/River Joanne led the investments in Paessler, PairSoft, CoSoSys, and Invicti Security. She holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a BS in Finance and a BA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Matthew Amico, Partner, Investments
Matt Amico is a Partner at Turn/River, and focuses on B2B software investments globally. Matt began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs before joining SkyBridge Capital, where he helped lead the firm’s global expansion. Since joining Turn/River in 2018, Matt has led the investments in SolarWinds, Redwood Software, Tufin and StarLIMS. He holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Tufts University.
