Peter Chung, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Peter joined Summit Partners in 1994 and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the firm. During his tenure at Summit, Peter has invested in more than 30 companies, including 18 currently or formerly publicly traded companies. His investment and board experience spans the technology sector and includes a number of innovative, industry leading companies, including Acacia Communications (NASDAQ: ACIA, later acquired by Cisco), AltoCom (acquired by Broadcom), Arista Networks (NASDAQ: ANET), E-TEK Dynamics (NASDAQ: ETEK, later merged with JDS Uniphase), Finisar (NASDAQ: FNSR, later acquired by II-VI), GoldenGate Software (acquired by Oracle Corporation), MACOM (NASDAQ: MTSI), and Ubiquiti, Inc. (NYSE: UI). Peter holds an AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Scott Collins, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director
Scott joined Summit Partners in 1996 and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the firm. During his tenure at Summit, Scott has invested in, and served as a board director for, more than 30 companies. In 2001, he founded the firm’s London office, which he managed through 2016.
